Every year about this time I start to think about the events that have happened over the course of the year and reflect, think about the many things that I have to be thankful for. Also every year I do the same Thanksgiving post regarding that thanking your the customer that keeps me afloat and engaging in this industry doing what I like while being able to help my son with his education etc.

Well not this year.

This year I wanted to incorporate a little bit of Magic and Halloween holiday cheer. Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday for the feast for sure, but Halloween has started to grow on me a little bit, maybe not in the same way that it does others, but it has been.

So in light of the holiday fun that we all enjoy during this time of year I wanted to give my thanks as the temperatures start to cool and get rained on during Trick or Treating. It’s been an amazing year, more amazing than most. Thank You.

Over this last year we have pushed boundaries that not many have and learned many things, somethings that I wouldn’t have thought were quite possible, and other things that other people still can’t wrap their head around.

While we have maintained a lot of our great client-base, Thank You again, we have brought on a lot of new clients and have made a lot of enhancement to current client sites. If you keep up with our Headlines posts you get to see first hand who we are bringing in and what projects we are working on.

Spotlight Projects

Two projects that we started late last year and have worked on feverishly over this year that are worth some spotlight are Korting Outlet and Home & Heritage Antique Market. These two have been amazing projects that have kept me busy all year adding enhancements and features to make the end users experience even better. If you see the featured image for this post we incorporated some of our favorite character / business, Mickey. The most famously incorrectly attributed quote to Walt E Disney “If you can dream it, you can do it” is something that we live by around here and these two projects help us realize this even more. We can create the most unique and robust business offerings to help anyone, we just have to put our minds to it.

From the beginning of either of those projects they started small, but thanks to the drive of the business owner we were able to continually add to the site to enhance the end users experience. Korting started out as a normal website that told people about the brick and mortar store. Over time it turned into an auction house. From there we added in a pre-bidding feature for the users to start interacting with the auctions before they were live. Now we are looking to bring in cross-posted ebay listings that will be offered at fixed prices and shipped for the users convenience accessing several locations inventory. The possibilities are honestly endless if you have the drive to find the ways to make it happen.

Korting’s counterpart, Home & Heritage started out quite the same way that Korting did. Just a small site that would advertise the newly opening brick and mortar antique market that would be local to Grand Rapids, MI. Shortly after we got the main site we transitioned this install into a POS system and multi-vendor marketplace for hundreds of people to simultaneously manage their booths, watch sales and get reports on their performance at the store. This site is a bit of an anomaly that some support people cannot figure out how to use still, but we did it and it works really well.

Thank You & Stay Safe

Anywhoo, those are our major reflections for this year amongst many things that are happening within the company and industry as a whole. It’s been great and it will continue to be great and we are extremely happy and thankful that you’re here to enjoy the ride with us.

As always if there is any way that we can help, furthering your site experience, answering support questions etc, please reach out via email. I’m always happy to answer any sort of questions and find solutions that will help your business succeed in anyway.

Teamwork makes the dream work, and since I’m always learning and claiming Walt Disney & Co as my mentor to fostering great relationships and providing great customer care, I will leave you with one last Disney quote: “It’s fun doing the impossible.”

As always I look forward to another year working with everyone and I wish you a wonderful and safe holiday season as we get into it. Thank you.
